Making up for D deficiency in childrenHarmonious physical development and growth of your child.

Nowadays, the statement that vitamin D is only needed for children during the first year of their life is considered wrong. The Association of Pediatricians of Ukraine recommends not to stop taking vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) to prevent rickets in children older than year. Priority is given to the micellar water-soluble form of vitamin D3, such as contained in the drug Aquavit-D33® .

The recommended dosage is as follows.

Prevention of rickets:

  • full-term children from month to year about 500 IU daily;
  • premature - about 1000 IU daily.

Or one drop of water-soluble vitamin D3 Aquavit-D33® in the first case, and 2 drops - in the second, daily.

Vitamin D is involved in the work of almost all body systems of the child. It strengthens the skeleton, making healthy and strong. And also it does not allow rickets developing. It affects the work of all organs and systems of the body during the entire active growth of the child.

Scientists have also proved the positive effect of cholecalciferol on immunity activity, thereby vitamin D protects the body from various diseases and infections.

Yes, vitamin D is able to be synthesized in the skin under the influence of solar ultraviolet. But do children spend enough time in the sun? After all, our weather is very changeable: either the active and dangerous sun, or a cloudy day.

It is unreal to get a daily norm of cholecalciferol with food, it’s not possible to synthesize all the necessary vitamin in the sun, and therefore our children stay without its right amount.

But vitamin D is so important throughout the entire period of the child growth: from birth to 18 years!
